Conveniently VeganConvenience foods. They are such a blessing for any busy household. I have come to rely on them more often than I'd like to admit. But you don't need to sacrifice taste and good nutrition for quick, easy meals.

This unpretentious book is perfect for the non-cook or for those days when you just can't afford more than a few minutes in the kitchen. Wasserman has come up with clever combinations of about 4-8 easily found ingredients, and couldn't-be-simpler instructions such as "Heat all the ingredients together in a medium-size pot over medium-high heat for 10 minutes and serve warm."

My family's favorite is the 'Bulgur/Peas/Tomato and Olive Stew'. How simple- the only other ingredients are basil and water! Other examples are 'Greens, Beets, and Peaches,' 'Spicy Mandarin Chickpeas,' and 'Banana/Oatmeal/Coconut Bar Cookies.'

Recipes are arranged by main ingredient; Pasta, Grains, Beans, Meat Alternatives, and by meal; Breakfast, Lunches, Snacks, Desserts. Nutrition information is included with each recipe and a reference section includes menu ideas, a glossary, and a listing of mail-order companies.

So many times people say they would become vegetarian but it's too difficult. 'Conveniently Vegan' demonstrates just how easy it can be.
