Book ReviewThe American Vegetarian Cookbook from the Fit For Life Kitchenby Marilyn Diamond Review by Erin Pavlina This is a very large, extremely informative cookbook by Marilyn Diamond, co-author of Fit For Life, also an excellent book I'll review later. All of the recipes are vegan and there are literally hundreds of them.
Article continues below Some of our favorite recipes are: Fruit Smoothies, Tofu Scrambler, "Stedda" Tuna, Sweet and Sour Eggplant, Potato Boats, Curried Potato Salad, Oat Chewies, Cashew Cream, and Peaches and Cream Pie. Most recipes are easy to make, though some require a lot of ingredients and a certain expertise that comes with time and practice. This book is a staple in our home. Whenever we want an interesting and new experience we take out the book, pour through it, and plan our shopping list. I highly recommend its use in any vegan kitchen. |
