It can be a scary thing to contemplate the loss of things you have worked so hard to gain. In short, we live a lifestyle of more and more with the idea that things will only continue to get better and better. So the idea of that all crashing down around us is very daunting. But it is also an opportunity to change. To survive in a tough economy we need to adjust our lifestyle to a more sustainable level. Most importantly, we should focus on simplifying our lives to make room for things that are more important than "things" we can live without.
