But with so much information available now, there are endless possibilities that your child can benefit from if you make the effort. What, No Meat?! is a great example of one of these resources. Whether you are a vegetarian or not, new to vegetarianism or seasoned, What, No Meat?! offers all the right information to either get you started or keep you going. Written in a somewhat humorous manner, the book helps the reader see that becoming a vegetarian isn't all that bad! There are tips on where to go out to eat, what to order, what groceries to shop for, how to prepare vegetarian meals, and also how to substitute for a vegetarian when there's not enough time for a special order at home. What, No Meat?! also has a section on alternatives for more traditional meals.

A real concern to most parents is nutrition. In order to raise a healthy, happy vegetarian child, you will need to ensure that he or she is getting all necessary nutrients. What, No Meat?! explains vitamins and other nutrients in detail. In a very easy-to-follow format, this book gives the reader an insider's view to raising a healthy vegetarian child. A section on simple recipes is a great way for parents to show their support for their child by creating delicious meals such as vegetarian chili or stuffed mushrooms. There are also many sack-lunch ideas that come in handy when trying to come up with something healthy to carry to school.
