Vegan Cookies from Allison's Gourmet Personal Development for Smart People |
Product ReviewsHome Free Cookieswww.homefreetreats.com Review by Jennifer Levitan
Vegans are excellent label readers. We can spot an unwanted ingredient at one quick glance. Being a vegan with food allergies makes label reading even more challenging. With new Home Free cookies, you won't have to read the label! Article continues below The company calls their cookies "treats you can trust" and you can. All six of their cookie varieties are free from eggs, dairy, tree nuts, and peanuts. They were kind enough to let me know that at this time, there are no allergen free chocolate chips that do not have sugar processed through bone char. What a conscientious company! BUT, please don't let that stop you from trying their oatmeal variety which has 100% vegan sugar in them, and almost 100% organic ingredients. The oatmeal cookies are soft and slightly sweet with a perfect oat flavor. I could easily eat the whole box. The oatmeal come in both regular and bite size. Yum! I had some friends taste test the chocolate chip cookies and they raved about them. They described them as sweet, with the prefect amount of crunch and just the right ratio of chocolate chips. They weren't overly sweet or soggy. The bite size fit right in your mouth by the handful if you feel so inclined! At this time Home Free carries Oatmeal, bite size oatmeal, chocolate chip, bite size chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate chip, and bite size chocolate chocolate chip. Keep your eyes open for these at the store because they are delicious! |
