Organica Cookies
www.organicafoods.com
Review by Erin Pavlina

Organica CookiesIt's hard not to notice these cookies in Whole Foods. With the brightest and most attractive packaging I've seen in a long time, Organica Cookies practically jump up and down on the shelves, waving their arms, saying, "Look at me!" So I took a look, and then a taste. These are no ordinary cookies. I doubt you've ever seen ingredients like these all in one cookie! Let's take them each in turn.

Peanut Butter Almond Chocolate Chip
This is my favorite flavor. Talk about rich! Every bite holds a delicious nutty flavor that's the perfect accompaniment to the sweet chocolate chips.

Oatmeal Coconut Cranberry Chocolate Chip
Think about that one for a minute. It would have tasted fine as an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. But no, you've also got the strong flavor of coconut mixed with the piquant tartness of the cranberries. This cookie will make your tastebuds zing!

Ginger Walnut Cherry Chocolate Chip
Another zinger, but a little different. The ginger gives it a hit of spice, while the cherries blend nicely with the chocolate. I'm not as fond of this one as the first two, but it's still a very intriguing cookie.

Double Chocolate Coffee Toffee
Last but not least, the coffee-lovers cookie. First you get the double hit of chocolate, then the rich coffee flavor. Add toffee and you've got an amazing treat that has no equal (at least that I'm aware of.)

Organic Cookies are sold by the bag or in single servings. They have also made their way into 7-11 stores in some locations. Now there's actually something vegans can buy in a 7-11!

Organica cookies are sweet, chewy, and delicious. What will your favorite flavor be? Erin Pavlina is the author of Raising Vegan Children in a Non-Vegan World, and a new cookbook, Vegan Family Favorites. She lives in Las Vegas with her vegan husband and children, Emily and Kyle.
