Organica Shortbread Cookies

I've been a fan of Organica cookies since I saw their eye-catching packaging on the shelf. Their flavors are extraordinary and daring. So while attending the Natural Products Expo in 2003 I eagerly headed to the Organica booth for a sample of some of my favorite cookies. I was greeted by Vicki Slotnick, the founder, and we chatted for a moment about her great cookies while I sampled all my favorite flavors. Suddenly I noticed she was showcasing a new line of cookies! Iced shortbread cookies! I had to try some of those too.

The iced shortbread cookies come in four flavors: Lemon Shortbread with Tangerine Icing, Simply Shortbread with Lavender Icing, Chocolate Chunk Shortbread with Vanilla Icing, and Cinnamon Shortbread with Cinnamon Icing. Vicki had done it again! Amazing new flavors, new cookies, new tastes!

It's really hard to pick a favorite, but if I were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one flavor it would be the cinnamon shortbread, followed closely by the chocolate chunk. The lemon iced cookie is delicious as well. I didn't care as much for the lavender iced cookie, but I'm not a big fan of lavender to begin with.

I can't wait to see what Vicki has in store for us next year! Keep watching this company. Great things are happening there.
