Just before the winter holidays I received a package of Original Sprout products to try out. We got lots of offers here at VegFamily to review products but only accept those we think our readers will truly be interested in. What attracted me to Original Sprout was the story behind their creation, which I knew would be appreciated. Inga Tritt, a master stylist and mother, wanted hair and skin care products for her newborn daughter who could not tolerate the chemical-laden ingredients in baby shampoos, even those labeled "natural". She created her own line of products free of natural or synthetic ingredients associated with estrogen enhancement, hormone disruption, cancer & autism such as: Lavender or Tea Tree Oils, Citrus Oils, Clove, Soy, Phthalates, Dioxanes from Sulfates, Parabens, Formaldehyde, Propylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Acetaldehydes, Styrene, Toluene, Glycol Ethers, Ethylene Oxide, Musks, Nonylphenol, Mineral or Petroleum Oils, Triclosan, Eurethane, 1-2 Propylene Oxide, Placenta or Synthetic Colors. She uses ecofriendly bottles, recycled packaging and shipping materials and all of her products are vegan , not tested on animals, and free of ingredients that would attract insects, such as honey, soda and fruit fragrances. She uses only "certified green and clean" non estrogenic fragrances.

Our box of product samples included Children & Baby Miracle Detangler, Natural Shampoo, and Scrumptious Baby Cream. Out of them all I love the Scrumptious Baby Cream the most. being a soaper and cream formulator myself I can appreciate a well made cream. This one is soaked up by my skin very easily and quickly, unlike some creams that require quite a bit of rubbing into the skin. After applying my hands are very soft and there is no greasy feel at all. The fragrance reminds me of freshly laundered clothes. Clean and light.

The detangler is fabulous too. I have had my hair hi-lighted which has caused some dryness and tangling when I shampoo it. A few light sprays of the detangler and my comb glides through without a tug. It really is the "miracle" product it purports to be.
