Tipu's Chai - Bold, Spicy, Authentic Indian Goodness

Tipu's goal is to, "introduce quality, authentic, Indian chai to the North America market." After trying the instant black chai, I can say the company is successfully doing just that. Traditionally chai is supposed to be slow-brewed; Tipu's has come out with an instant version - successfully appealing to the fast paced, immediate gratification mentality of our fast-paced lives. The only complaints - and they are very small ones - would be that not all the spices are soluble. Therefore, one will find some spices floating at the top and will also see residue in the cup (and a bit on the teeth). The company does say that the loose spice is a "mark of a good chai!" but the chai can be made and then strained so as to remove the loose spice if it is a bother.

A word of caution, the spiciness of this chai is quite astounding and may require a cut back on the measurement or subdued with milk and/or sweetener. Now on a very positive note, the chai is dairy free, sugar free, and is a certified organic, certified kosher and fair trade tea. It is, without a doubt, the very best chai I have had. It has thrown my favorite chai out of the ball field! And of course, with such ease of use, the instant chai is a great way to get a quick cup of authentic and wonderful organic Indian chai in seconds. Thats makes Tipu's Chai the best overall in my book of teas!
