Why Did You Go Vegan?JezabelWell, I grew up eating meat and my mom always cooked every kind of meat you can possibly think of, during my life, I would rarely hear people commenting that they were vegetarian. I never gave thought in to it so there fore I never really realized what a vegetarian was.Article continues below So I asked them why, and Edgar let me know that he was a Vegatarian and Kendra was a Vegan. I had no clue what a Vegan was. And I thought it was really weird. Kendra started sharing with me her story on why she became a vegan. After that night, I studied Veganism and realized it was the right thing for me to do. It does make me sad the way animals are slottered but the real reason I became one was to improve my health. Consuming too much meat in so many years can really damage your health, and that just frightened me. My family is not the type to support, my family and I are not close and whatever I do they can care less, the only one that supported me was my sister...she became a vegetarian for two days and she couldn't take it anymore...yes she is weird. I am a vegan and I am proud, and to my brother...this is not one of my little phases, it is a part of me now.
